Fragata Essentials for Your Summer Barbecue

Print Friendly

May is barbecue month, kicking off what we hope will be a few months of warmth and sunshine! Here at Fragata, our barbecues are out of storage and ready to fire up summer’s tastiest food. Nothing beats a flavourful meal cooked outdoors, especially when the weather is warm enough to allow al fresco dining. Planning to “grill and chill” this weekend? Stock up on these Fragata goodies to make your next barbecue memorable and delicious!

1.    Pimiento Piquillo Peppers

roasted red pepper

Versatile and flavourfully sweet, Fragata pimiento piquillo peppers make the ultimate burger topper! Straight out the jar, these exquisite peppers can be placed on top of any burger – beef, chicken or veggie – for a great hit of flavour. For a smoky touch, try grilling them before adding them to your burger. Like your burgers plain? Why not add some piquillo peppers to a fresh garden salad!

2.    Garlic Cloves

garlic marinade

Fragata’s garlic cloves are delicious straight out the jar, but they also make the perfect addition to a tasty marinade. Try a simple combination of olive oil, lemon juice and chopped garlic cloves, and let your chicken or beef soak up the flavour for a few hours before barbecuing. You’ll find your meat tender, juicier, and of course, tastier!

3.    Snack ‘n Olives

Crisps are a staple at most barbecues, but why not offer a more nutritious snack for guests to munch on? Our Snack ‘n Olives come in five delicious flavours, and are a far healthier alternative to greasy crisps. Best of all, they also make a great salad addition, or for the more adventurous, a unique burger topper!

First time i tried the roasted red pepper, snack’ n olive. Lovely, seasoned just right Really moreish, without the guilt. I ate mine straight from the bag, like a bag of crisps! But would be lovely addition to a fresh salad. Will definitely buy these again. Thank you
